Delete your account
This page documents how account deletion works. Deletion itself happens in the app or by email — this page does not perform it.
1. Delete in the app
Open Settings in the Mithri app and choose account deletion. The app asks you to confirm, then deletes your account and the data connected to it as described below.
2. Delete by email
Already uninstalled the app? You can request deletion by email instead. Write to the address on the Support page with the subject line “Privacy Request”, from the email address on the account so we can verify the request is yours.
3. What is deleted, what is kept
- Deleted: your account record and sign-in identifiers, your email address, everything you logged — meals, ingredients, symptoms — your photographs and the data derived from them, and the associations the app generated.
- Kept: purchase records we receive from Apple through RevenueCat are kept for accounting after your account is deleted. They still contain an app user identifier and the purchase details; the identifier is not removed.
4. Timelines
- Production systems: deletion completes within 30 days of the request.
- Backups: our database host does not currently keep backup copies of your data on our plan.
5. How deletion works
Deletion is performed by a server-side deletion function that already exists in production. It removes your records across the database and file storage — it does not depend on the app being installed on your device.
